Running Up That Hill

Kate Bush

Its crazy how I’m just discovering Kate Bush. She was way ahead of her time, I would love to go see her show. Her voice is one of those rare talents that can converge with the melody making something absolutely magical.  I feel like a snake being charmed by a flute listening to the song, as if Im in a trance and drifting away with the lyrics.

brooklyn vegan?

Great I beat Brooklyn Vegan to it.  They also posted about her only a couple of hours after me.

Norwegian electro-pop singer Sissy Wish is back in New York this week with two shows at Pianos: tonight (7/20) with Cincinnatti’s Slow Claw and locals Ghost Robot Ninja Bear, and on Wednesday (7/22) with The Grates. Both shows, Sissy Wish is on first. There may be a free show tomorrow as well at Bell House but that is still being sorted out.. As pointed out by the first comment, and confirmed on MySpace, all three NYC shows are canceled…

ps – i was the first comment

pss – i ran 8 miles today so I deserve to be pathetic today.

psss- the Pianos shows are still on.

Sissy Wish

Yesterday discovered a really cool Norwegian artist. Sissy Wish perhaps sounds a tinge like Lykke Li, a tinge in the respect that her voice is a little high but I’d liken her more to Metric, yeah thats it if you really like Metric’s new album Dwts sounds a little like Help I’m Alive. Ideally she was supposed to be playing the Bell House in Brooklyn tomorrow, however according to her site that show is canceled along with a couple of other NYC shows.

a new beginning

Lack of proper employment has inspired me to start a proper blog where I will discuss things that I am interested in. From best espresso and cappuccino in NYC to awesome music to awesome buildings by crazy architects.  This blog is intended to celebrate life and society.
